We are here to guide and advise you. To help you decide what coverages are appropriate or needed. If your an individual, family, or a business in your home. Since we represent more than one insurance company we are able to offer a wider variety of coverages. If you were to look at your homeowners policy, check to see if you have, back up of water sewer drain or coverage for your jewelry off premises. If you look at your automobile policy, did you get rental car coverage, what about "Personal Injury Protection" (PIP)? Did you get "Full or Limited PIP"? What's the difference? These policies are designed to provide coverage for Private Passenger Vehicles. Many coverages are available. In Md, DC & Va, mandatory coverages start with Liability, Uninsured Motorist, Under insured Motorist, Personal Injury Protection(PIP), or Medical Payments. Condo Insurance is probably one of the more complex policies out there. Condo policies try to bridge the gaps between the Condo Associations Master Policy (which covers the Building collectively owned by the Association along with Premises Liability of the Association) and the Individual unit owners, Property. All business policies are not the same, however they usually contain: Commercial General Liability (CGL), Business Property and Loss of Business Income, Medical Payments to Others. Commercial General Liability (CGL) Insurance protects an insured from a wide variety of commercial exposures. This Insurance is designed for a person who does not own the Premises that they are living in. You do not have to pay rent to need this coverage. With similar coverage to a Homeowners policy minus coverage for the Dwelling. Personal Property, Liability and Theft coverages. See the Renters/Tenants Insurance 101 page for more info.
Rental property insurance is for non-owner occupied or seasonally rented properties. That are owned in an individual or a business name, this can sometimes be known as a Landlord Policy. Typical Coverages include coverage for the dwelling/structure and liability. There is never any coverage for the tenants or renters belongings they need their own renters insurance. Inland Marine Insurance is designed for Items that do not stay in one fixed place. Items on the move like Jewelry & Musical Instruments. Inland Marine offers better coverage for possessions that are specifically described and Valued (usually with an appraisal) and are limited to how they are covered in a Homeowners or Renters Policy. Vacant Property Insurance is for those who's home or Buildings that are Vacant and, for sale, an Estate Property, or abandoned. See the Vacant Property Insurance 101 page for more info.
