Vacant Property Insurance is for empty/vacant properties. They are essentially designed to cover your building structure and property inside.  They are written on the same type of policy offered for a Rental Property, But usually limited to the DP-1 Policy coverages.  Vacant Property policies are sold as short term policies, 6,9 or 12 month increments and can be renewed.  Please review rental property 101 for coverages and remember that the usually are limited to the DP-1 Basic form perils.
